Website Templates

Today instead of spending time writing, I spent more time looking at all of the different templates that WordPress had to offer.

I will admit, when I was looking at yesterday’s posts, I was amazed at how cool they looked, and it made me feel a little bit self conscious about my very plain website. (It still had a lot of the default settings, with my only contribution being the green background color.) But I didn’t really have the patience to try to organize it to look nicer so I decided to leave it like that.

Until today.

My very basic website didn’t even tell you the date a post was published, so I decided to at least try to add that.

So after maneuvering around the settings for a while, I finally figured out where you could look at the website templates.

The first template that caught my eye was the Primarium. I liked how it looked like a journal, and it also helped that it was one of the first suggested when you clicked on the “Blog” filter.

I continued looking and testing out different templates for about an hour, until I finally decided on the first one that had originally caught my eye in the first place.

Once I had decided that I would go with the Primarium, I wanted to try making some small adjustments.

I didn’t like the default color so I changed it to the color pink. I chose a darker pink so it would be easier to read, but there was a small notice announcement telling me that the dark pink I had chosen might be difficult to read so I had to change it once again.

As of right now, there are still some changes that I might make but I am simply too tired to make them today.

For all I know, I might end up changing this template.

But at least now the website tells you the date my post was published. So overall, today was a productive day. 🙂
